Background
Bud Taylor was an American bantamweight from Terre Haute, Indiana, who won the vacant NBA bantamweight title against Tony Canzoneri in 1927 and was stripped of it in 1928 after moving up to featherweight. He was inducted into the Ring Magazine Hall of Fame in 1986 and the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2005.
