1. About these terms

These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of FightRec.com and any related pages, apps and services (together, "FightRec", "we", "us"). By using FightRec you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What FightRec is

FightRec is an information service about boxing and mixed martial arts. It shows fighter profiles, fight records and related information, and lets people join an early-access list. Parts of the service are still being built and may change, be paused or be removed at any time without notice.

3. Information on the site

Fighter profiles and fight records are compiled from publicly available information and from information supplied by users and fighters. We work to keep it accurate, but records can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and sources sometimes disagree.

• All information is provided for general information and entertainment only, on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
• It is not official, and it is not a sanctioning body, commission or promotion record. Do not rely on it for betting, matchmaking, medical, legal, licensing or financial decisions.
• We make no promise that any information is complete, accurate or current.

4. Corrections and removal requests

If you are a fighter (or represent one) and something on a profile is wrong, or you want information about yourself corrected or removed, email info@fightrec.com with the page link and what needs to change. We review every request in good faith and aim to respond within a reasonable time. Using this process first helps us fix problems quickly.

5. Claiming a profile

When profile claiming opens, you may only claim your own profile, or one you are authorised to manage. We may ask for proof of identity or authority and may refuse, suspend or reverse a claim. You are responsible for anything you add to a claimed profile.

6. Your content

If you submit information, photos, videos or other content, you confirm that you own it or have permission to share it, and that it is accurate and lawful. You give FightRec a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt and share that content in connection with the service. We may edit or remove any content at our discretion.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape, harvest or bulk-download data from the site, or use it to build a competing database, without our written permission;
• post anything false, defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening or that infringes someone else's rights;
• pretend to be someone else or claim a profile that is not yours;
• interfere with, attack or try to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
• use the site for anything unlawful.

We may restrict or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.

Live chat rules

Anyone can read the live chat. Anyone with a free FightRec account can post. Some messages, for example links from new members or messages containing blocked words or websites, are held until we have checked them. When you post in the chat:

• keep it about combat sports: fights, announcements, results and news links are welcome;
• no abuse, harassment, threats or hate towards anyone, including fighters and other members;
• no spam, advertising or repeated posting of the same thing;
• no links to pirated or unofficial broadcasts of fights or events;
• don't share anyone's private information, such as addresses, phone numbers or private messages;
• don't post anything illegal or anything you don't have the right to share.

You are responsible for what you post. Messages are public and may be seen by anyone. We may remove any message, and we may mute, block or remove members who break these rules, with or without notice. Some words and websites can't be posted at all. Messages may be checked automatically, including by AI tools, to help spot rule breaches. To report a message, use the Report button next to it or email info@fightrec.com.

Private messages and fight offers

Members can send each other private messages, and promoters, managers and matchmakers can send fight offers to fighters who have said they are open to offers. The live chat rules above also apply to private messages. You can choose who can message you, block any member, and report a message. FightRec staff do not read private messages, except messages someone has reported to us or where the law requires it. A fight offer on FightRec is an invitation to talk, not a contract. Any agreement is between the fighter and the person making the offer, and FightRec is not part of it and is not responsible for it.

8. Names, trademarks and no affiliation

Fighter names, promotion names, event names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify fighters and events. FightRec is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any promotion, sanctioning body, league or fighter unless we say so clearly.

9. Our content

The FightRec name, logo, design, layout and the way information is compiled and presented belong to FightRec and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to pages for personal, non-commercial use.

10. Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or availability.

11. Email list and personal information

If you join the early-access list, we use your email address and the role you choose only to contact you about FightRec. You can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell your email address. We handle personal information in line with applicable data protection law.

12. No warranties

To the fullest extent allowed by law, FightRec is provided without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, FightRec and its owners, staff and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, reputation or opportunity, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or any information on it. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to compensate FightRec for any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your content, your misuse of the site or your breach of these Terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be taken away.
