Julian Erosa gets dropped, gets up and retires with a knockout

In the last fight of his career, Julian Erosa was knocked down seconds in, then knocked out JeongYeong Lee in the first round and left his gloves in the Octagon.

Julian Erosa wrote his own ending.

In the final fight of his career, Erosa was dropped by a big left hand from JeongYeong Lee just seconds into the fight at UFC Vegas 123. He got back up, kept swinging, and at 1:31 of the first round he landed a right hand that knocked Lee out.

THE GOODBYE

After the win, Erosa took off his gloves and left them in the middle of the Octagon. His wife and son joined him in the cage for photos with his team. "Riding off into the sunset. Thank you Julian Erosa!" the UFC posted.

Erosa, 37, had announced before the fight that he would retire win, lose or draw. He is moving his family home to Yakima, Washington, to help run his mother's business.

THE CAREER

He turned pro in 2010, fought on The Ultimate Fighter, was cut by the UFC twice and fought his way back both times. He finishes with a 10-9 UFC record and wins over Charles Jourdain, Sean Woodson and Nate Landwehr, and a reputation for never being in a boring fight.
