Dubois wrecks Wardley in two rounds, then asks for Usyk again

Daniel Dubois needed less than four minutes to beat Fabio Wardley again, and straight after, he asked for the one rematch he has never won.

The rematch on Saturday night in London was nothing like their first war in May. Dubois dropped Wardley with a straight right only 17 seconds in. Wardley got up, but Dubois trapped him on the ropes and the bell saved him. In round 2 the punches kept coming until Wardley's corner threw in the towel, and referee Steve Gray stopped it. Dubois keeps his WBO heavyweight title.

"It was my time and my era," Dubois said. Wardley said there is "no shame in testing yourself against the best."

THE REMATCH HE WANTS: USYK

Oleksandr Usyk is the only man who has beaten Dubois twice. Usyk stopped him in round 9 in 2023, in the fight where Dubois's body shot was ruled low, and again in round 5 at Wembley in July 2025. Usyk has since given up his belts, but Dubois wants a third fight.

"Definitely, definitely, I'd love that," Dubois said. "We're coming out on top this time."

OR HRGOVIC FIRST

IBF champion Filip Hrgovic got in the ring after the fight and called for a unification fight, with both belts on the line. Dubois beat Hrgovic in 2024, and Hrgovic is now the man holding the IBF belt Dubois used to own. "I want to have a rematch with him and get that belt," Dubois said. Hrgovic has a mandatory defence against Frank Sanchez first.

Promoter Frank Warren expects at least one heavyweight unification fight in early 2027 and calls Dubois "a totally different fighter now."

Daniel Dubois (24-3, 23 KOs) has won both fights since his second loss to Usyk. Fabio Wardley (20-2-1) has lost both fights against him. Oleksandr Usyk (25-0) has never lost. Filip Hrgovic (21-1) has only lost to Dubois.
