Jake Paul returns on Christmas Eve in Dubai: 'Santa Paul is coming to town'

Jake Paul will fight in Dubai on December 24, almost a year after Anthony Joshua broke his jaw. His promoter MVP is still finalising the opponent, with Darren Till the favourite.

Jake Paul is coming back, and he is coming to Dubai.

Paul's company, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), has confirmed he will fight on Thursday, December 24, Christmas Eve. It will be his first pro fight in Dubai, as part of a new agreement between MVP, the Dubai Sports Council and Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism.

"SOMEBODY'S GETTING KNOCKED OUT"

"On Thursday 24th December I'm returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey," Paul said. "Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and somebody's getting knocked out."

It will be his first fight since Anthony Joshua knocked him out in Miami last December and broke his jaw in two places. He has had two surgeries and says he is "hungrier than ever."

WHO WILL HE FIGHT?

No opponent is signed yet. "We've got plenty of names on the list; let's see who signs the contract," Paul said. MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian says they are "finalizing an opponent worthy of Jake's return."

Former UFC fighter Darren Till is the favourite, and Bidarian has confirmed talks with him. KSI, Chris Eubank, Edgar Berlanga and Tommy Fury have also been mentioned.

NO NETFLIX THIS TIME?

The venue and broadcaster haven't been announced. According to the New York Post, the fight will not be on Netflix, which showed Paul's fights with Mike Tyson and Joshua. DAZN pay-per-view is seen as the most likely home.

Paul is 12-2 with 7 knockouts.
