Lomachenko is coming back at 130, and he wants O'Shaquie Foster

Vasiliy Lomachenko is ending his retirement for one last run at undisputed. He will return at junior lightweight in 2027 and says 'absolutely' to a fight with three-belt champion O'Shaquie Foster.

Vasiliy Lomachenko is not done.

The former three-division champion retired in June 2025. Now, at 38, he says he wants one more shot at becoming undisputed champion, and he plans to fight again in 2027.

BACK TO HIS NATURAL WEIGHT

Lomachenko will come back at junior lightweight, 130 pounds. That is where he won the WBO title in 2016 and made four defences. He says 135 "is not my natural weight."

He also explained the timing. He decided that if he waits until he is 40 or 41, it will be too late.

THE TARGET: FOSTER

Lomachenko was ringside last weekend when O'Shaquie Foster beat Emanuel Navarrete by unanimous decision. That win gave Foster the WBC, WBO and IBF belts at 130. Only one belt is missing.

Asked if he would fight Foster, Lomachenko said: "Absolutely."

FOSTER'S PLAN

Foster says undisputed comes first, then a fight with Shakur Stevenson. Lomachenko could be his path to the fourth belt, or a big fight once he has it.

Lomachenko is 18-3. His most famous loss was the close decision against Devin Haney for the undisputed lightweight title in 2023.
