Riyadh results: Espinoza stops Blandon on a cut, Martin upsets Picasso

Here's everything that happened on the undercard of Canelo vs Mbilli in Riyadh.

ESPINOZA STOPS BLANDON

Rafael Espinoza retained his WBO featherweight title when the ringside doctor stopped his fight with Ricardo Blandon in the third round because of a bad cut over Blandon's eye. Blandon took the fight on about a week's notice after the mandatory challenger was ruled out. Espinoza is now 29-0 with 25 knockouts.

MARTIN EDGES PICASSO

The closest fight of the night. Carl Jammes Martin of the Philippines beat Mexico's David Picasso by split decision (95-94, 96-93, 94-95) to take Picasso's WBC Silver featherweight belt. Martin stays unbeaten at 29-0. It's Picasso's second loss in his last three fights, after going the distance with Naoya Inoue last December.

TSUTSUMI KEEPS KNOCKING THEM OUT

Japanese prospect Reito Tsutsumi knocked out Raymundo Rojas Garcia in the second round. He is 6-0 with six knockouts.

THE REST OF THE CARD

Sultan Almohammed beat Erick Villegas by unanimous decision (60-54, 59-55, 59-55). Bek Nurmaganbet knocked out Marcos Vazquez in the first round. Emiliano Rojo stopped Flavius Biea in the fourth, and Brayan Leon outpointed Hector Aguirre over eight rounds.

The card had nine fights instead of ten after the Delgado vs Biyarslanov title fight was cancelled.
