Halloween in Vegas: Moicano meets red-hot Tom Nolan

The UFC closes October with a lightweight main event in Las Vegas. Renato Moicano faces Tom Nolan on Saturday, October 31, at the Meta APEX.

THE VETERAN

Moicano, 37, is a former lightweight title challenger and ranked No. 8 in the division. He is 21-7-1. He lost to Islam Makhachev and Beneil Dariush back to back, then got back on track in April with a second-round submission of Chris Duncan.

He has seven rear-naked choke wins in the UFC. Only Demian Maia and Michael Chiesa have more.

THE RISING STAR

Nolan, 26, is from Australia and goes by "Big Train." He is 11-1 and has won five straight in the UFC, most recently a decision over Fares Ziam in June. His only UFC loss came in his debut.

This is Nolan's first main event and his first five-round fight. Beat Moicano and he is in the top 15 conversation.

ALSO ON THE CARD

Randy Brown meets Jacobe Smith on short notice in the co-main event, and Yana Santos faces No. 4 ranked Luana Santos at women's bantamweight.

WHEN TO WATCH

The main card starts at 4am Sunday in the UAE (5pm Saturday Pacific). The prelims start three hours earlier.
